Turn his back? The orange tumor has never cared about workers. First time I heard about it was when he refused to pay the workers who built his failure of a casino in Altlantic City.

You mean the guy whose entire “edge” in the real estate business was a willingness to not pay people and fight them in court isn’t standing up for workers? The devil you say!

To be fair, that’s because he’s an unlovable asshole. Just a diseased cancerous anus that even his parents clearly despised.

    Turned his back on?

Man, you had to be a special kind of stupid to think that this man ever gave a single shit about workers his entire life. For fuck sake.

You have to support workers first. So he never turned his back. He stayed true to being the piece of shit he is.

It’s so weird. Dude has been screaming “I’m a massive piece of shit!” with his whole chest for longer than I’ve been alive and every republican suddenly said “this guy is the second coming of Christ”. Republicans are fucking weird.

What?? All I heard him say is “I hate leftists and all minorities” so there’s no way he’s a massive piece of shit, that’s exactly what all my friends and I hate!

For the wealthy Republicans he is. He’s exactly what the Southern Strategy was hoping would come along to be used as a tool to solidify the Party’s power. They just didn’t realize he was there the whole time because he sat in the Democrat box, but when he got pissed at Obama and switched over, they used the media controls they had built up to make sure he got into place. It worked as intended.

Nobody’s confused about that, it’s pretty clear to everyone with a nervous system that the rich are getting what they wanted. They’re evil, but at least they’re comprehensible. It’s the poor ones who still confuse me, even though I’ve read entire books about the authoritarian follower mindset. I’ve seen octopuses whose thoughts are easier to understand.

Not a fair comparison, octopuses are pretty intelligent and know danger when they see it.

    turned his back on workers

Every single working class schmo who voted for Trump should be legally disqualified from voting by reason of mental and cognitive incompetence. He was never for workers to begin with and y’all were warned countless times, and observed it yourselves with his first term, let alone his entire history of conning workers.

To a point. In order to make informed decisions. People first need to be informed. The advent of the printing press and rising literacy rates set back wishful oligarchs for a few centuries.

By the late 20th century they were starting to get a handle on it with broadcast media. Shaping and contorting the “truth” into a mockery. By the 21st century algorithms and tightened control made it nearly impossible to escape sensationalist framings or outright lies for normal people. And now with AI they can effectively flood the zone. So that short of a revolution or mass awakening. Even trying to avoid the propaganda, it will still seep in simply because IT IS EVERYWHERE.
