I never considered it would be a technique issue.

With extra messy burgers, consider supporting the backside of the burger even more. Pinching the opposite end of the burger between little and ring fingers Basically like the image, but moving the fingers closer to the middle

Also in between bites hold it flat or upside down instead of vertical to prevent gravity from making the ingredients droop out.

This is what I do, but it’s not about this. The stuff exits the other side because pressure on the top and bottom from biting into it squeezes the contents. It can’t go into your mouth because your teeth are in the way.

Exacerbated when the burger contains slippery stuff e.g. lots of mayo and tomato.

I tend to eat burgers with a knife and fork. Some think I’m weird, but burgers just don’t fit into my mouth if I try and bite them anyway.

This is the result of incorrect burger gripping, where the pinkies and ring fingers should also be holding the back end together, ensuring a safe dining experience

Burgers should be wide, not tall, for ideal distribution of toppings. Nevermind aesthetics.

I like cutting my burgers in half. Gives me better control over the contents.

The pros just do cheese, grilled onions, and some sauce for a classic dirty burger

I’m guessing his business partner passed from congestive heart failure, burgers are probably 🔥 tho.

If this starts to happen, turn it around before it slides too much and start biting from the other side instead. Usually does the trick!

You gotta put your hand on the back of the burger and just push it i to your mouth.

That’s why I run away from big overstuffed burgers. In my country, people put lettuce, fresh tomatoes and raw onions in burgers like they actually are kebabs. Best burgers I know are toasted bun, patty, fried onions or grilled bacon, 1-2 pickles, and a homemade sauce. No room for escape

or they can make a big burger that’s somewhat hollow on the inside, so the sides will stop stuff from falling out

Kids nowadays won’t believe this but you used to get burgers that held together without a skewer.
