    compelled to use

I gotta say, a lot of the compulsion seems to be around “adult content” which is fairly easy to avoid in most cases.

I would be more interested in how these rules tend to target LGBTQ+ groups for censorship than how they slap a “teenagers” tag on anyone who isn’t feeding them biometric data. This feels like another edition of “straight is normal, gay is sex” Christian orthodoxy being codified into the digital landscape.

They are trying to make it seem like they care about kids at the same time they released the Epstein files… While Trump is lying saying he is not guilty / not in them. They are trying to rile up their base even more and encite violence towards their political enemies. People have been calling for violence on Twitter and ramping it up. I am sick of leftist platforms censoring so much because its very scary.

This compels me to learn deepfakes, which seems not too hard as long as you have sufficient hardware… Or if not then those Death Stranding like methods might still work :AyameHmm:

It’s quite doable. If you have pretty much any not-prehistoric GPU, you can run quantized Z-Image turbo. If it’s a not-ancient Nvidia GPU, you can run a 4-bit SVDquant version extremely quickly.

There may even be versions runnable on Intel IGPs or beefy CPUs these days, though I have not personally investigated this.

Or you can just use the Artbot through the AI Horde for a deepfake, with no corporate servers involved. It’s crowdsourced inference, basically the equivalent of the Fediverse.

Complete anecdote, but without exception, every non-corporate Discord community I am a member of is evaluating something like Zulip or Element right now with the majority of the users ready to jump ship.

Is there any aspect of the police state that libs won’t support?

Y’all have your fascist TikTok and bullshit age gates.

Enjoy your “AI” biometrics! Guaranteed chuck and nancy are making big money.

They seem pretty reticent about pursuing white collar crimes, particularly when they intersect with sex trafficking of under-aged girls.

      Enjoy your “AI” biometrics!

There’s going to be many pictures of Sam Bridges in the Palantir biometrics catalog.

I’m watching Gladiator tonight for the first time in 20 years. It’s hardly new but so painful to watch again through the lens of the current state of America. It went from ominous historical warning 25 years ago of power, weakness and how men act in opportune moments to a primer on current affairs.

Many don’t have the capacity left to make conscious decisions about these things - either they are already living paycheck to paycheck or it is too abstract for them to realize it might bite them and everyone else on a future date. Even if i have ideas for the first group that I have no power to make reality, I don’t have a solution for the second group either.

Palantir will profile you and we will be living in a hellscape if it’s left unchecked.

Fucking Peter literally creating the very monster he claims to hate.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Fucking never. Never ever. I’d sooner cut myself off from all technology and live in the woods than willingly give those creepy fucks my middle goddamn name. There is absolutely nothing good that will come from this company. The people at that company literally fucking movie villains. It’s fucking crazy that absolutely anyone works with them, let alone world governments.

These large scale surveillance companies like Palantir, like Flock, they shouldn’t exist. They should be outlawed. Our government needs probable cause and a warrant to surveil a suspect. If a normal civilian followed you around and filmed you, kept track of you at all times, they’d be arrested for stalking. But for some reason private companies can just watch every man, woman, and child in public and online, catalog all our movements, where we went, how we went there, who was with us, track what we do, what we read, who we know, how we spend our time, what we say, etc., and then permanently log all of that, use it to form dociers on us, predict our behaviors, or desires, ways to manipulate us, and then turn around and sell that data to governments, other companies and private parties. How the fuck is that legal.

Why in the fuck would you ever allow a private, profit-driven company to have that kind of power over your nation, let alone reward it with federal dollars, long term contracts and access to our law enforcement and military data and systems?

Worse, the founders and CEO are unhinged wannabe dictators trying to form their own sovereign techno-states. They’re not even secretive about that. And our goverment is fucking funding these nuts and giving them every detail of the lives of our citizenry, our goverment officials, our military… how fucking stupid do we have to be, guys? I wish I could say it’s just Trump but it’s not. It’s mind boggling.
