Schedule III is still not legal. Testosterone is Schedule III and you can be arrested for possession. It would just mean state-level laws will actually be legal in the way they say they are; and possession should be punished less than, say, possession of fentanyl or heroin.
If Democrats take power, they could pass full legalization of Marijuana or other drugs. Alternatively Democrats currently in Congress could introduce a bill now to decriminalize/legalize Marijuana at the federal level. Sure, Republicans would have controlled the House and Senate, but the incumbent could report to their own district that they got a win.

They could have done it the last two times they had power. They chose not to. And there is absolutely nothing that indicates that there is any circumstance under which they would.
After they demonstrated that they could get out of their own way when it was something they wanted to do, I’m bitter about the whole thing.
Genocide is the only thing I’ve seen them fight for. And until I see actions that indicate that they’re willing to fight harder for anything than they fought to murder Palestinian children, It’s the only thing they want.
Schedule 3 opens up legal financing options so dispensaries can start actually using banks and payment processors. It also gives the SC room to rule that Marijuana shouldn’t disqualify gun purchases, which in turn means being a gun owner caught with weed won’t be an instant felony. It’s a massive change to the whole industry in legal states.

Those are some really good points. I didn’t think about the gun purchase aspect.
Still, should there be a future Democrat administration; there is room to make positive change that the general population would feel.
If you phrase it like that, they’ll never do it and they’ll fight anyone who wants to.
