Thanks Trump!
oh noooo. is it poopy meat time now?
The more than 80 tons of raw pork, beef and goat were packaged and sold with fake USDA labels, according to FSIS, and were not actually properly inspected by the agency. As a result, the 167,639 pounds of recalled meat could be contaminated or contain undisclosed ingredients or allergens.
Absolutely atrocious behavior, humans don’t deserve to live. As if the animals whose flesh made up these 80 tons had much of a life to begin with, now they’ve all been made completely unnecessary and meaningless. Great job you “animal loving” fucking hypocrites.
Great job you “animal loving” fucking hypocrites.
Who are you referring to with this last bit? Doesn’t seem likely to be the Department of Agriculture or the FSIS, but no one else is mentioned in the article (unless I missed it).
I would guess everyone who calls themselves “an animal lover” because they have a dog, but gladly support the meat industry
Lol the place that “produced the products” can be contacted via email at their Gmail address.
They make food, this time a whole lot of fake actually uninspected food, and they’ve got a fucking Gmail address.
At least it’s not yahoo or aol.

To put this in perspective, the average America consumes 200,000,000 lbs of meat…every day.
Gonna copy my comment from another other thread on this, but if the prices, animal ethics, and environmental effects weren’t enough to push people towards plant-based diets, maybe more meat recalls will do the trick
(or I guess plant-based diets that exclude lettuce anyway)
Plants get recalled more than meat does, lmao
Keep in mind the bar for meat is also super low. With plants the assumption is that it’s safe to eat raw so it’s regulated that way even if you’re cooking the stuff. It’s not regulated that way for meat. Chicken is allowed to have 25% of samples positive for Salmonella and they don’t have power to enforce if it’s crossed. Hundreds of thousands of people are hospitalized with Salmonella each year
In any case, we should still very much be concerned about the environmental effects and ethical side too which does not change based on recalls
Just broil or boil fucking everything is the lesson here.
Yeah, no. Doesn’t help with unknown ingredients, allergen, or what bacteria produces when present. There is a misconception that just killing bacteria with heat is enough. It is not. Bacteria can produce toxins as they munch on whatever they’re eating.
Oh okay, guess I’ll eat nothing since that’s an option
Don’t be deliberately obtuse.
Proper cooking helps. Boiling everything can help, sometimes. It’s not a full solution.
Botulism and Staph, for example, do not care if you’ve boiled your food.
Wow I can see how that’s exactly what I said 👍

Thanks for reiterating the point I was making and deciding this is somehow correcting me I guess?
Maybe just don’t eat the recalled meat?
Did you miss the bit at the end about lettuce (not the only plant that can get contaminated)?
Actually, I live in Kentucky and I’m directly affected by this. We just filled our basement cellar with this meat, which we got from the local Costco. Hot damn, as it turns out getting rid of it is quite a hassle. The local waste disposal doesn’t want to take it, we burried about 10% in the garden, but neighbor saw and now we have the sheriff’s office in our (red)necks. Ok, part I can use at my trans-daughter’s shotgun wedding, but in the meantime it’s getting maggoty as the fridge ain’t working well. I’m now shoveling the rest into a crate, to send it to the White House, let them take care of it! Last time I voted for that orange nincampoop, nothing but trouble, also that invasion of Irak kind of sucks.
