The ICE agents deployed to Minnesota weren’t necessarily residents of Minnesota. It could be that Texas is the guy’s home state, although I can’t find a source that says where he’s from.
(DDG’s AI hallucinated that he was from Florida, but the source it tried to cite didn’t actually say that.)
It could also be that he fled there hoping some asshole like Ken Paxton would give him sanctuary, or he could’ve been trying to flee to Mexico, of course. If he isn’t from Texas the optics don’t look good…
