Up to the low 90s? Is this a joke, or is there something I’m missing?
The real danger is fire. Slightly elevated heat and high winds are a recipe for disaster.
Heat advisories are not just for the heat, but for heat outside of expectations. You wouldn’t give a heat advisory for a 90°F day in Florida, but in mid-autumn in southern California? Definitely appropriate.
People might have their ACs off for the season, and the temperature is dangerous if no precautions are taken.
It’s also not a good idea to go out in a gorilla costume. Wear the Sexy Spongebob instead, let your body breathe.
Exactly. Sexy costumes are now mandated by weather.
Heat advisory? It’s as cool as you’ll ever see again.
Santa Ana Winds through Thursday. This is not atypical for the week of Halloween. On the plus side it’s the only way we get spooky skittering dry leaves. But it can also spread wildfires.
Fuck, I didn’t realize it was going to blow. I hope that rain we got was enough to stop a repeat of January…
I do too. It doesn’t look like the winds will be anywhere near as strong as during the Eaton/Palisades fires though, thank goodness.
