    It’s an urban-sprawl suburb on the outskirts of Melbourne. Anyone visiting from the suburbs of the US would find it familiar, except perhaps that the birds sound different and there are sidewalks.

    Half joking of course. There are bits of Ferntree Gully and nearby which are beautiful

    I used to live their for a year during my work and holiday trip to Australia. Coming from the crouded streets of Kathmandu it was quite the culture shock to sudenly live in a place where pedestrans were something you almost never encountered. It felt like i imagine an american suburb to be, without ever having seen one.
