Pope Leo XIV’s post-operation recovery is proceeding as expected after a “successful” surgery to remove part of his right lung which was found to have a cancerous growth, according to the Vatican.
He’s also spotty on other social issues, namely queer rights and abortion. He, like his precedessor, is a complicated figure in a lot of ways. Mind you by the standard of popes they’re fucking saints, but that’s because several popes prior had been pretty damn bad in several areas, especially defending child molestation, residential schools in North America, and the laundries in Ireland.
He’s a pretty good pope, I hope he can get his organization to stop fighting against my rights in my country.
