In North America, a CV with a photo on it is instantly binned, as it opens up the company to charges of racial or sexual discrimination if the applicant isn’t chosen.
Seriously - add a photo of yourself to your CV if you want a 100% rejection rate anywhere in America or Canada.
Nowadays we have racist LLMs automating discrimination at an industrial scale by rejecting applications based on age, gender, and perceived ethnicity (via surname)
