Personally I think they were hoping for a guilty plea because whatever evidence they do have is fucked one way or another. Just kind of a guy dealing y’know? I suspect that Lash Patel probably fucked up some level of in estivation with their immediate shoving into what shouldve been a case for the local PD, Sheriff, and Utah state police. Possibly even damaging or fabricating the crime scene.
