Giving up one specific soft drink is a pretty small ask. Especially if the ask is "try to drink another cola if it’s that important to you. Sorry if it seems preachy but I can’t reconcile in my mind how that is a hard thing. I mean if it’s your favorite thing in the entire world and it brings you true joy and happiness, then sure, maybe? But it HAS to be Coca Cola, absolutely nothing else could possibly do?
Pop doesn’t play a huge role in my life, so maybe it’s just not possible for me to put myself in your shoes. But I think we’re proper fucked if that is anything resembling most Canadians’ willingness to sacrifice anything.
I’ve done a pretty good job of eliminating most American products from my life, but a few have slipped back in or maybe were missed, this just strengthens my resolve and I will do another review of everything I do.
I’ve discovered lots of great Canadian products, hardbite chips, Tough duck clothing, all sorts of alchohol, Presidents choice products are surprisingly good all around. Coke is the only tricky one for us, but atleast it’s canned in Canada and is more of an international brand now.
