Fyi spider monkeys are native to Central and South America, you likely saw something different, unless they have an invasive population
It’s very possible. They rolled the canvas down over the sides of the boat at night because these monkeys (whatever they were) are known to come on board and steal things.
Possibly all remaining specimens. Not lol.
