Did you believe Obama when he said he’d get us out of Iraq/Afghanistan and close Guantanamo Bay? My only sympathy lies is me believing the same shit.

Obama tried to follow the Constitution, and Republicans used every opportunity to disrupt, derail, and corrupt his good faith agenda and policy proposals. I remember distinctly

And his drone strikes? Was he following the constitution in good faith?

How about his unconstitutional “intervention” in Libya to topple Gaddafi?

Liberals love wars, they just keep it quiet.

Downvote and run away, war loving liberal. As long as it’s not Americans getting blown up, you don’t give a fuck.

Who was it that toppled Gaddafi? From what I recall it was an angry mob of libyans.

Also Bush set the precedent for ordering drone strikes. Obama just did what Democrats do, and used the tool in a more effective manner.

It’s one thing to inherit a bullshit war, and do your best to end\win it.

Starting a war with an enemy nation (Isreal), that has no actual objective or win scenario, and tanking the economy in the process to try and distract from all the children your raped is entirely different. It’s also the Republican party platform.

Republicans are the guy that sucker punches someone, then when that person turns around and whoops their ass, Republicans will immediately claim that it wasn’t fair, or that their victim ‘cheated’. It’s common bitch baby behavior, which is the only thing you can expect from right wing MAGAts

Show me where the Constitution says anything about how to handle US citizens who become enemy combatants adhering to non-state organizations waging war against the US.

Obama tried to come up with an orderly procedure for making decisions in those cases, consistent with the Constitution and international treaties such as the Geneva Convention (which tallks about armed non-uniformed irregulars, but doesn’t say much about them, and assumes the states they operate in have the capacity to deal with them as bandits, which is not always true).

And the idea that drones are somehow worse than any other method of blowing people to kingdom come is also irrational.

If a war is started unconstitutionaly, and if an unconstitutional government torture program is started, it can be closed and ended without a constitution. Don’t use the “poor 'ole Democrat” excuse to accept wars and torture. Unless it was the Parliamentarian. Well that one rules above all.

That like jumping out of a aeroplane then 3 seconds later deciding to quit jumping out of an aeroplane, war doesn’t work like that, sometimes unfortunately you have to accept the past actions and continue down the path and hopefully change the outcome in a positive way, see the Donald trump pull out of Afghanistan, the Taliban are now literally armed with US weapons, equipment and full control over the country

“Those are crimes of the past. We have to look to the future” and it was Biden that pulled out of Afghanistan. I do support that though. There was no good way to get out. It was a band aid that had to be ripped off.

You’re doing the false equivalency fallacy by bringing Obama into this though. Sure Democrats and Republicans are both bad, but trying to say they are equally bad isn’t true.

Obama started 5 wars in middle east, dropped more bombs than GWB. I constantly hear that Trump increased drone strikes like 430% his first year the first term. Obama increased them about 1000% compared to GWB. People complain about the Trump deportations. Yet Obama was the Deporter in Chief, and both Obama and Biden deported more immigrants than Trump. People complain about the immigrant detention centers under Trump, and as Trump asked Clinton wisely who built the cages the immigrant children were being put into, it was Obama. During Trumps first term, when he had a State of the Union, the one time Democrats stood up and cheered was when Trump introduced Juan Guaidó. When it comes to wars(especially regime change wars) and immigration, Republicans and Democrats very much agree, and the only way they wouldn’t be equel, is if you consider that Obama deported more and dropped more bombs.

They were, but very few were used, as Obama alluded to in his debate with Romney. That horses aren’t used in wars :/ there was a famous drone R&D “leak” from Lockheed Martin from 1995, so they’ve been around even during the Clinton era

Yeeeah Trump is still worse than Obama. And I don’t think he’s “wisely” asked a question in his life.

Much of America didn’t know when that “children in cages” story made the news rounds, the cages were built under Obama, so while I’d pretty much also agree, that was one of the two times the broken clock was right.

LOL, so true. I often laugh about the “tea party” and how it’s not really a thing, and then I’m immediately reminded of how the “Green Party” is not much more of a serious thing, either. Other than being seriously used to monkey-wrench this country and give more power to Republicans…
