I use LogSeq. It’s nice, but it’s basically a local app in a browser (electron), written in an (to me) obscure language. I have been on the look out for a more native alternative with similar features that doesn’t look like crap. So far, LogSeq is here to stay.
I’d rather they supported a full linux phone instead of investing in something Goofle owns.
Keep telling yourself that when Google shuts down installation of 3rd party apps in AOSP.
Unfortunately, the majority will go “nothing to hide” and move on. Only when the effects hit will they notice.
He used AI for guidance, rewrote what it spat out, and was able to get it to state where it worked and could be accepted for a merge request. Now that’s a good use of AI.
Good on him for contributing to a C++ project. I’d never do that.
That’s where I got the idea. I saw some tech youtube doing it and thought “hmmm… android must have an app for this… surely”. Lo and behold, there are a few.

My phone is kinda recent and has Android 18, but it didn’t work. Maybe future versions of Android will add it for all. That’d be cool!

That’s fair. Nobody has to know you wrote it with a not, that’s impossible to detect, but you have to own it and be ready for the discussions that follow.
CSS is terrible, no doubt about it, but the problem is exactly that: native GUI frameworks haven’t changed in the way they work. Why else do you think electron became popular? Obviously there was reason for it
Let’s be honest, it’s the easiest. I’ve been trying to write UIs in pure rust and python recently and let me tell you, it’s a drag.
Some frameworks don’t even support writing your own components, some don’t allow reusing parts of the UI, some don’t even have proper layout engines you can modify, theming can be difficult, others dont have reactive values, most don’t have a fast dev loop (make a change, see it, repeat), and so on. I’ve even tried using game engines like Godot and Bevy.
We like complaining about Electron, but let’s be serious, as bad as it is, the other stuff is worse.

Then a lot of proprietary code cannot be copyrighted 🤷 Honestly, if AI destroys copyright, it’s the best thing it can do.
And we have already seen how it can be uses against proprietary software: write specs, implement code that fulfills specs, 🎉, closed source is now opensource . Amazing.
What does it have to do with algorithms? It’s search terms. Unless the search terms are aggregated and guessed, algorithms shouldn’t matter.

So there will always be 100 and always 0 and that can be 100 searches in that time period or 1 billion. It’s not very useful unless you’ve seen absolute numbers, IMO.
