Linux@lemmy.ml•Any ideas what to add to my list of NixOS things to do?Deutsch
3·15 days ago- Create your own Codeberg repo for your configuration
- Use Neovim, maybe with Nixvim
Nix is absolutely not just for CI, the idea is to use it locally as well, so the CI runs in the same environment.
Note that any user listed in
nix.settings.trusted-userscan place arbitrary directories into the Nix store, and can choose the store key.

10·16 days agoLTT did another Linux challenge recently, and this time their verdict was that they‘d all be staying on Linux for their personal PCs (with FakeLinus dual booting Windows, because he needs software there for his job). They did also say that most of their videos will still show Windows, as that is still the primary target of the manufacturers that send them the press kits.
This reminds me of the screenshot where ChatGPT doubted a parts list the user gave it, because the RAM cost more than the CPU.

1·17 days agoTry deleting storage for all Reddit domains, that fixes it for a bit.
“Run Level 2 because Level 1 is not permitted to fix anything.” “You don’t want to run Level 4”
It stores one of the keys to my LUKS volume.
I don’t think so, or why would it happen to be sorted exactly by length? And systemd-vconsole-setup.service definitely starts before
NetworkManager-wait-online.service…
I do actually use the TPM for disk encryption and Measured Boot, and can’t simply disable it.
