  • That only makes sense if both you and the CIA genuinely want the same thing. That’s bonkers to even put into type. If the CIA genuinely wants to do something good, then you saying, “find someone else to help you,” does not stand in the way of that good being done. There is zero risk from an altruistic point of view, the perceived risk here is that you don’t get money. That’s so short-sighted.

And anyway, they don’t want the same thing as you. Reducing harm is not their mandate. You are taking something you care about, and you are giving it to the CIA for their unstated ends. Congratulations, you no longer have something you care about.

  • If you cannot function socially without alcohol, or it makes such a difference to your function that you don’t even want to, you are disabled. Human beings are social animals and we do not need a “social lubricant”. None of the good sex parties I’ve ever been to even serve alcohol. None of the guerilla dance parties I have attended had alcohol. None of the 8-bit users groups, drum circles, maker spaces, support groups, role playing game groups, or MIDI Maze parties I attended required alcohol for people to form bonds and become familiar. This is 100% a you problem that you are trying to project on others so that you don’t have to acknowledge that you have an issue.

  • Buddy, you are ALL up in your feels and not in control of yourself. You’re not responding to what I wrote, you’re responding to voices in your head. I was commenting on the quality of your argument, not on the underlying truth of the situation. The point being made is that any position can be justified when you use cliches instead of actual reasoning. For that you have to resort to childish name calling? Clearly you are not being a serious person right now. If you can pull yourself together, you’re welcome to try again, but I have reported your abusive comment.

  • I wish it was not considered cool and acceptable to advertise the most destructive drug on the planet in public, in front of addicts and children; one that has taken years of life from virtually everyone’s loved ones leaving us alone with regret. When Ford changed the rules so that there could be vendors at my local farmer’s market shouting at people to buy their alcohol on the fucking public sidewalk, I was so pissed off. I go there because it’s the only way I can afford to eat healthy food a couple days a week and I have no option to just go someplace else. Not that they have left me any place.
