Ah really? I’ve never gotten it to be hot all the way through without burning the crust. Then again, it’s even more rare that I have any left over since I’m not ordering it lol

I think deep dish is really only “good” when it’s straight out of the oven and it’s been years since I’ve ordered pizza that wasn’t delivered

I like deep dish, based on your other reply in this chain I think we’re on the same page! I guess I was a little hyperbolic there to say it’s “for tourists”
I meant Chicagoans aren’t consuming it the way New York style pizza is consumed in New York…which is apparently a popular misconception about Chicago. We default to thin crust like normal people lol

It’s expensive, hard to eat, and heavy. Thin crust keeps the party going, deep dish makes you sleepy.
Real “Chicago pizza” is tavern-style thin crust, yum.

For those who only know about Chicago from the news:
Old Irving Park is a nice, mostly residential historic neighborhood on the northwest side. It’s not the nicest or fanciest (those are more toward the lake) but it’s definitely on the upper end. It’s a neighborhood someone in a high rise might move to when you have a family.
Bonus fact: Chicagoans mostly stick to normal pizza. Deep dish is for tourists.

I received a Tikom vacuum as a gift and was so sad to see I couldn’t installed Valetudo.
On the plus side, it works with no connection and so it’s only slightly less covenient to just…press the button on the vacuum itself when I take my dog for a walk. Gotta dump the tray from last time anyway
If there was a toilet right there, do you think they would still choose the wall?
Have you ever been around drunk tourists before? The answer is yes
One of the worst parts of it is that Scooby Doo has had tons of successful series and they’ve all been pretty good. Yet they somehow managed to fuck this up despite it being an incredibly simple formula for a show.
I actually tried to find it after I posted but i guess you can’t search the bash archives

Nahh, all those other reasons are kind of hidden from the average person who doesn’t read music or tech news, most of them probably have no idea that Spotify sucks. I’m sure there’s even people hearing the ad right after witnessing ICE violence firsthand
Hes a piece of shit but “don’t put things on the internet” is fantastic advice for young people. I’m glad I was a kid before the Internet got “serious” so there are no logs of the heinous shit I’m sure I said. If you look for my old username, you’ll get one search result…a quip I made on IRC on bash.org

Chicago loves its Hispanic community. They are a valued part of the city

They’re both satire sites but only one is presented as such
I want to like this so much more than I do. It does look a bit better in other photos.
I think I’d hate it less if the ship was centered on the buildings. As-is, it looks like the back fell off (which is not very typical)

My friend sometimes gets free tickets to bigger concerts and invites me. I saw ELO (or whatever the name is now) and Incubus recently and both were great in a different way. They’re too different to compare IMO, even though I do prefer smaller shows because that’s what the bands I like play
Meh, it’s cheap and it’s good enough. I like coffee but not enough to spend money on “the good stuff” for daily consumption. And there’s no way in hell I’m grinding beans at 6am.

Alvin and the Chipmunks introduced me to so much music as a kid. I’d hear a song, go ask my mom what it was, then listen to the original on cassette or record if she had it (which she usually did)
I specifically remember trying to keep the melody of Paul Simon - Mother and Child Reunion in my head while waiting for her to get home from the store. And holy shit the relevancy of that song just hit me 30 years later lol
It’s wrong for you to want a funny thing, yes.
