I’d been boycotting Home Depot because of their trump support, but Lowe’s was the alternative. There are some tiny little Ace Hardware stores, but they never have what I need and offer to order it with a week or so of lag time. Amazon is faster, but also, fuck Amazon.

Lower down it says that the $80M is to keep food banks stocked. That money will go a lot farther with food banks negotiating bulk deals than a person trying to buy groceries on their own. Not sure which they’ll actually be doing. Still not a lot though.

They occasionally sell the Brussels sprouts on the stalk like that at the farmers market. I feel like some kind of vegetable wizard walking around with it.

The hardware store here has a big sign up about this every winter, explaining why, if you think need this you are wrong, if you ask for one we will not give you one, if you make one yourself you will probably die.
