Constitutional duties
The Governor-General has specific constitutional and statutory powers. The Governor-General acts on the advice of Ministers who are responsible to Parliament (and ultimately, through elections, the Australian people).
Key constitutional duties include:
- Presiding over the Federal Executive Council - Facilitating the work of the Commonwealth Parliament and Government - Dissolving Parliament and issuing writs for a Federal election - Commissioning the Prime Minister; appointing Ministers and Assistant Ministers; and swearing-in other statutory positions - Holding and possibly exercising the Reserve Powers.Under the Australian Constitution, the only action performed by The King is the appointment of the Governor-General (on the advice of the Australian Prime Minister).

As a Canadian who has almost limitless free access to healthcare, I’ve never understood America’s decision to withhold the same from millions of people.

A newly revealed memo from the Office of Management and Budget claims that federal workers forced into furlough during the ongoing shutdown may not receive back pay once the ordeal ends. In open defiance of the law, the administration argues that the 2019 Government Employee Fair Treatment Act does not automatically guarantee wages to workers sent home or ordered to labor without compensation. The government that once promised fairness has now declared that those who serve it may be discarded. This is not confusion. It is control.

The plan has been made and they have the money and power to implement it.
Intigration into a pod is almost impossible tho. You can’t force a pod to accept a new member.
