Does your country have a working public transit system?

Good call, but this “dad” did it intentionally for two years.

The boy’s father told investigators that he put the child in the truck in November 2024 “to protect him” because his partner wanted to send the then 7-year-old to a psychiatric hospital, the prosecutor said.
Heitz said there was no medical record that the boy had any psychiatric problems before he disappeared and that he had had good grades in school.
The boy told investigators that he had “big difficulties” with his father’s partner and thought his father “had no choice” but to lock him up, according to the prosecutor. He said he hadn’t showered since 2024.
Jesus. Intentionally did that to his kid as a “punishment”.

Sucks that the US is so car-centric. If there was actual public transit (especially of the electric variety), people would struggle a little less.

Fuck :(

I mean, I haven’t had the malware issue and it gets removed from indexers just the same anyway
I’ve had better success than torrenting, 100%. It’s faster, too, since it just uses SSL.

I have a couple hundred terabytes (half of it being spare), so I’m good for awhile. If I saw excessive failure, I would eventually need to downsize, of course.

I’ve had better reliability from Usenet, personally, but YMMV. Safe though? If you use Usenet over SSL, you don’t even need to download over VPN, if that’s what you mean.

True, but I was talking about private indexers, not shares. I guess I’m lucky that I bought a fuck ton of drives before the bullshit.

Signal only sends a “new message, retrieve the rest from Signal” ping to your phone through Firebase. It doesn’t contain message details, just that you have a new message.

Even better is Usenet 🤫

Will Trump be providing his?

These data centers are NOT being used for research. Universities and research companies generally have their own computer clusters for that.
These are being designed and built for LLMs and LLMs only.
Plus, the US has already lost. We’ve cut off our allies, destroyed our trade partnerships, made the economy unsustainable, and also caused the very brain drain you mention here. We’re cooked for decades at the least.

That’s a bubble, quite literally. Collapsing into other companies. Do you think when people say bubble they mean that all companies related to LLMs will go under forever?

Their comment literally mentions Google and Facebook as the survivors, so I’m not sure what good it does to include them in your argument.

How dare she make him talk to his children.

Typically, tech companies get around warn through garden leave, meaning you’re employed and paid for 60 days but not able to actually work. Then, at the end of 60 days, warn is posted and severance is distributed. Is that what you’re referring to?

This was attempted in Portland during the last major election, and while a handful of votes were invalidated, because they were picked up so frequently there wasn’t many. Also the dumbasses that did it didn’t wait for the election to be almost complete, which allowed for those with affected ballots to revote.
It also made them improve drop box security this time around, so it’s not as easy to tamper with the votes inside now.
Remember, the alternative here would be allowing the feds to systematically throw away massive amounts of votes in blue cities via USPS. Ballot dropboxes are way more secure than dealing with the USPS where your ballot is treated like normal mail at best, and something to discard at worst.

Those should be used instead of USPS anyway, and it would ultimately make it so states could just switch to those and not care about the postal service. While it is more convenient to mail it and would absolutely affect turnout in some way, it’s not much more difficult to go a few blocks (or stop while going to the grocery store) and drop off your ballot. It would remove the power of this illegal order since it’s centered around the USPS not delivering ballots to election facility.
A classic. LLMs can help if you know what you’re doing on your own, at the cost of having to burn tokens while basically having to guide it to the result you need. The second you use it for something you’re not an expert in, you enter pure slop territory. The fact is that LLMs are constantly hallucinating but with guardrails that allow them to sometimes hallucinate the correct result.
And yes, I’m in tech and have experience. The only way it’s going to “take” my job is if it crashes the entire economy because the bubble pops or an executive needs to pump some stock from braindead morons on wall street.
