  • So I took a look at the PCB and the D+ and D- are going to one of the micro controllers, I’m going to do some data sniffing with the o-scope and see if there is anything happening. I’d like to figure out how to do CAT control. If that don’t pan out I will try the head unit extension port and see what I can find there.

  • I like it, I’d give it a try but currently only have a 2m, 220, 440 rig. I’m builing a SDR QRP HF all band but FAR from being done with it due to the same constraints you’ve expressed with contests. Hope its a successful contest, looking forward to it if / when I ever get my rig built. i got the RF amp board done and am working on the LPF board now, winding the chokes is a pain.

  • If I recall there is an FDA rule that says you can’t sell a food item that contains a non edible thing that could cause someone to choke.

    Edit: Here it is

Section 402(d)(1) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act provides that confectionery having partially, or completely imbedded therein, any non-nutritive object is adulterated unless FDA has issued a regulation recognizing that the non-nutritive object is of practical functional value to the confectionery product and would not render the product injurious or hazardous to health.

  • Ditto, I’ve one that will power a full size sata hdd (external power supply), use it for backups to magnetic, never had an issue. Got it years ago from a defunct computer shop, so no link but I Willi post the model later and put a ssd in and check TRIM.

Edit: the enclosure I have is a ORICO 3588US3 if you use it with a ssd you don’t need the external power supply, I put a ssd in it and ‘sudo hdparm -I /dev/sdb’ reports ‘Data Set Management TRIM supported’
