I just read a comment on Facebook recently of a old couple that had two TVs in the same room, while also using a iPad and a tablet.
I worked at a house where they had a large TV playing some shit reality TV show, which no one was watching.
The guy was watching something on his tablet sitting on the sofa, but kept on pressing something that would make a very annoying jingle noise. And the woman was on a PC watching a yt channel in the corner, but also quite close to the sofa.
The TV was at a normal audio level. The guy on the tablet would turn up the sound when the TV got loud and/or when his wife was making too much noise.
She in turn would turn up the SPEAKERS on her PC to counter this.
Both could’ve put on some headphones, but no.
Meanwhile I’m trying to fix a leak in the conservatory whilst being bombarded with a constant battle of inane jingles, a shouting yt channel, and a backwards reality TV show. After about 10 minutes I couldn’t take it anymore and I went to my van and got my ear defenders. And neither of these 2 Wall-e’esque idiots paid a blind bit of notice of a stranger in their house wearing ear defenders for no real reason.
I felt murderous for the rest of the day. I have no idea how people can enjoy living like that.
People like that don’t enjoy living at all.
