Serbia’s longtime nationalist strongman, Aleksandar Vucic, conceded defeat Sunday in a general election held after his once-tight grip on power was weakened by nearly two years of student-led street protests.
Serbia’s vote for a new Parliament came just six months after voters in neighboring Hungary rejected their own populist nationalist leader, Viktor Orban, a close ally of Mr. Vucic.

What does this mean for Serbia? Will there be a new election to replace Vučić? or is he just a lame duck for the rest of his term?
He doesn’t have a term anymore at all.
Will he be replaced? or is the position just empty?
There’s currently a replacement from his own party as the PM, Vučić planned to be the presidential candidate (Putin-Medvedev style switch). IDK about the details (I’m not sure if the Serbian president is appointed by the parliament or by public voting), but basically he’s out of the game. For a while, at least.
