The Principality of Monaco is a historically and geographically fascinating country. The entire area is under a single square mile (0.8, to be precise), yet it has its own semi-sovereign government and, technically speaking, an army.I say semi-sovereign because, by treaty, France has authority over Monagasque foreign affairs and economically dominates it. France maintains an embassy there. It's only 50 meters from the border of France.-via Iain Cameron...
They don’t need a full embassy, an ambassador will do. Like I said if they insist a small government office can be operated in existing French owned governmental buildings across the border. No need to pay for a large independent facility. The ambassador can commute to attend appropriate talks in Monaco
A full time embassy is asinine for a country with 30k people living in it less than a 29 minute walk from the French border on all sides
…within commuting distance of what?
You seem to think an embassy is the ambassadors house?

You keep saying commute. Commute to where? “Existing French owned governmental buildings across the border”… that’s… that’s an embassy
Do you know where Monaco is? Commute from France use buildings in France. The ambassador can commute for Monaco state events and talks.
An yes this is different, it’s different to save cost. Effective outcomes for French citizens will be the same
So the number of buildings is the same but now it’s worse?
