I fail to see how that makes it okay for Putin’s Russia to commit the atrocities it has, and continues to.
Even purely from the Russian POV, the repercussions of the economic damage being inflicted, the sheer number of working age men being ground to paste, will hold the country back for generations to come.
Beyond that, it gives the rest of the world justification to tighten the noose faster than ever.
