Roku tvs are currently 37% of the American market according to numbers I found through a quick search. Last I heard LG, Amazon/Fire, and Samsung also required an internet connection/account for setup. Only Google TVs from my research (regardless of brand) have a dumb tv option at this time.
Right, the edge cases. I have yet to know a single person to have this happen but I’m sure it does.
