Unitarian churches are the only ones that I’ve been welcomed, loved, and asked if there was anything I needed as soon as I walked in. They’re all awesome people actually making differences in their communities. People give freely in the churches I’ve been in and multiple times, unhoused folks would walk in and there was a stash of clothes, food, and hygiene products to give to them during the service. Like, as the pastor was preaching. And nobody made them stay. A few did, but most grabbed and left. Everybody would smile at them and offer seats next to them. I’ve never seen that in other Protestant churches before.

This comes up a lot and the time Americans will do something, is when the majority is affected. Right now, it’s just minorities and poor people. And most Americans don’t care about them. That’s a cold fact, that a lot of people are unwilling to deal with. Nobody wants to do anything that will threaten their lives unless it’s something that affects them, personally. And taking the kind of action that is needed, will threaten their lives. When it starts affecting middle class, white, non-minority Americans; that’s when shit will hit the fan. But they’re so calculating, that won’t happen. So, we’ll continue on this path, until that time.

For real, why was the influence ever there in the first place? I’ve met so many people, men mostly, that worship Joe Rogan, and think he’s so “smart and real”.

I always wondered, what would happen if reporters in the White House start making outlandish claims. E.g. what you said and stuff like, can you verify that JD Vance doesn’t fuck couches? Or, is it true that Miller masturbates to Nazi memorabilia? That just seems like the kind of thing that they wouldn’t be able to stand. So, why not just go for it at this point?

I think Shane likes to get his name out there and get some recognition. He does well with the manosphere, but they’re slowly turning on him, from what I’ve seen, because he’s literally making fun of them all the time. He totes a fine line between offensive and sincerity. I met him once after a show, he genuinely seems like a cool dude. He’s made some mistakes that he regrets, but also owns them all. I think because everything he does is soaked in irony, it’s hard to find the real Shane. E.g. my family are huge MAGAs, but they liked Shane at first. Now they think he’s sold out and woke lmao. Overall, I think he’s funny and worth watching. Really love that the Saudis doubled his offer and still said no.

To be fair, I use broadcast OTA and I have an antenna on my roof. It saves money, and I get to watch most of the shows I watch. It also cut down on my streaming bill. I ended up writing some emails to two of my local stations describing my feelings about capitulating to the adminstration, as well as, my feelings on the Nexstar Tegna merger. I advocated for the disbandment of the ownership and shift toward local. One actually reached back out and said they were going to shop for a local business/person to buy their station. Funnily enough, it was the Sinclair station.
