Great way to flee from regional reality (Doing work, being social, talk to people, ho for a walk with the dog, do housekeeping, etc.)

We have such sort of cameras in Europe as well. Some even use a Service provider from china; literally Surveillance as a Service.
Of course, hi-speed trains are way better than personal cars and airplanes 😄
I just wanted to point out that the “fastest trains in the world” trophy is not something achieved saintly, but because it had to be the “best”, a la make big numbers bigger.
The growth of value for the people is minimal, but the (energy) costs are immense.
With trains, punctuation is way more important than max speed 😇
They have entire cities with empty houses if I remember correctly, and the ultra high speed rail is immensely inefficient as air resistance is raising in square proportionally to speed
I think building houses that will never be used as similar bad as to less housing…

1·14 days ago😂 i can relate, but I imagined that you can program it to sell if higher than x and buy when lower than y, and you tell it that at tt:mm you need z kwh ready 😄
That is why you vote for people that invest in a usable power grid which can store overproduced electricity in batteries (chemical, water storage lakes with pumps, pulling weight up/down etc.),
Or just make electricity prices variable so that you can expect a ROI investing in your own battery (like charge your battery cheap or by solar and discharge it for bigger returns by night/bad weather)
All it takes is political willpower and courage to change stuff for the better, we (humanity) are smart enough to find solutions, we just don’t have the courage, right now and do stupid things out of fear (like voting for people who claim to give security but do only more fear mongering only to sell more security measures that don’t solve any problems long term)

4·15 days agoGoing homeless at the same time as many others opens the possibility to make communities helping each other out (food, protection, communication).
I know, it is wishful thinking, but building such communities in a peaceful way during a general strike with enough time is better than a sudden brutal civil war scenario, I think.
You won’t get food easy if you have to fear getting shot as soon as you leave your house and they can’t run companies efficiently only with AI and MAGA workers.

1·23 days agoI think linux PC vendors (Tuxedo, system76) have to fund stuff like this at the beginning, at least until we have not only a single digit percentage of market share running linux…
I mean profit oriented companies only invest in stuff they think they can yield something from later
