Technology@lemmy.world•Futo updates their website, removing logos, clarifying micro grantsEnglish
76·8 days agoI don’t get you people. The founder of FUTO literally platforming a fascist is beyond just purity test level of bad.
I can call Eron out for being a supporter of fascists, while using FUTO keyboard because it doesn’t spy on me, that’s perfectly fine. I don’t get why using their keyboard means you have to defend the horrible position held by the people behind it. Sounds like cognitive dissonance.

Technology@lemmy.world•Tesla's Full Self-Driving software under investigation after railroad incidentsEnglish
32·19 days agoWe don’t look at car features in isolation. e.g. seatbelt or airbag could cause injuries too in a crash, but we have them because it’s better than not having them.
In the same token self driving doesn’t have to be perfect, it just need to be better than humans. I don’t know what Tesla’s number looks like, just speaking generally.

Technology@lemmy.world•Framework supporting far-right racists?English
1·23 days agoHuh? This has nothing to do with censorship. You can still see the abhorrent takes from DHH or vaxry if you so choose. We are just asking framework to not support them monetarily.
Stop calling any act of criticism censorship, grow up.

News@lemmy.world•Senate confirms 48 of Trump’s nominees at once after changing the chamber’s rules
0·1 month agoa very simple question: did it work?
all they have done so far are this kind of performative, petty, menial and ineffective resistances, yet on anything that has mattered, they capitulated.
please point me to anything effective they have done. so far the most hopeful thing i’ve seen is Zohran Mamdani getting the nomination, and the congressional Democrats still haven’t endorsed him yet.
