Honestly, no. There is no fast way to spin up fabs for this stuff. A lot of lithography equipment for the top tier stuff is made by 1 supplier, stocking a shitload of fabs with the right gear just isn’t something they can do.
IMHO, the fastest way out of this mess would be for governments to regulate how supply is spilt between consumer and enterprise products.

Reporter are hyper focused on AI replacing workers, but they forget that AI is also upending businesses that rely on search, create eduction tools, create creative tools, make analytics tools, etc.
A lot of tech workers are being laid off because they work for a company that is bleeding customers to AI products.

Agreed. That said, it’s worth noting that a lot of people who are homeless were residents of the area before they became unhoused. It’s often a myth that a city’s homeless population primarily consists of people looking for a more lenient city.
Take a place like California’s east bay. 80 percent of those homeless people were from the area before they became homeless.

I’m also in this camp. That said, I’ve learned that everyone studies differently, and some people learn by synthesizing, and others do better when they have something structured from the jump.
I often run to weird little study teams where one person studies by taking everyone’s notes and creating sets in something like quizlet, and someone else studies by using the flashcards / tests that get spit out.
As someone who works in ed tech these days, I’m kind of down for them as a study tool. For example, synthesizing notes and turning them into flashcards, practice tests, etc. I find that stuff to be suuuper handy if I’m trying to learn something.
But for cheating, yah, fuck that noise. A lot of classes are moving back to pencil and paper because of this, and I totally support that.
They are not required to create some sort of inpatient trans kid gulag.
The “clinic” requirement state that doctor’s need to help kids who are getting off of hormone blockers - which any good hospital would do anyway for anyone doing a big medication switch. That’s standard care.
They also apparently are required to pay to reverse surgical procedures if someone asks. Which would be never or rarely, because doctors / parents almost always delay puberty until a someone if old enough to decide about surgery.
The clinic is dumb bullshit that won’t be a real thing. The real impact is the 10 million fine, firing five physicians who previously provided care, and ceasing performing puberty blockers. That’s the shit that’s really fucked up.
