I don’t disagree that they’re incompetent. But in this particular case what they’re doing isn’t incompetent at all. Surely you’ve noticed that anything in there that has Trumps name next to it is all things that couldn’t be corroborated. Or things that couldn’t be followed up on for one reason it another.

They took his name off from anything that was potentially investigated and proven, and left the “she says…” statements that have had no investigative follow-up so they can say “look how honest we are. Yes he’s in there but none of it is actually provable”

Its a greasy, and slimy and frankly pure evil scheme. But its not an incompetent one.

I get that government use needs to be stringently tested for security, and so things take a little longer. But really, there are PLENTY of good FOSS products in existence that can be used as a base framework and a head-start to things like this.

You don’t have to re-invent the wheel when you could easily fork Jitsi-meet and harden it/secure it to your needs in the government.

What exactly does Apple think that they’re brining to the equation in order to deserve that 30? Is it simply that they’re hosting an app on their store, so therefore they’re entitled to a cut?

There are legitimate professional use cases: for example, imagine a consulting doctor looking in on what another surgeon is doing and offering opinions as the operation goes on. Or same thing with engineers.

But I can’t think of a single consumer use case that isn’t designed for perverts.

After god knows how many years now of being on Linux exclusively, I tend to look at the terminal (commands in general) as a convenience more than a necessity. Meaning that in a lot of cases, knowing a command and quickly typing it to start an update (for example) is just faster and easier than pulling up the GUI every time.

Doesn’t really matter what it would take. His plan is (and always has been) that if anything doesn’t go his way, he takes it to the supreme court who he handpicked and has in his pocket. So either:

• a) He manages to stop the midterms, or
• b) He doesn’t, but Republicans already have them rigged so as to not matter, or
• c) They lose the midterms, Trump takes it to the supreme court, who hand the republicans the win based on “hand waved evidence of voter fraud by democrats and ‘illegals’”…

Trump just gets bolder every time people say “oh we’ll get out of this at the midterms.” He’s laughing at America.
